2016 International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, November 19

The Lancaster County Suicide Prevention Coalition is sponsoring the 2016 International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, Saturday, November 19th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pathways Center for Grief & Loss (4705 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17522).

Survivors Day is the one day a year when people from around the world who have been affected by suicide loss, gather with their local communities to find comfort and gain understanding while sharing stories of healing and hope

There will be a screening of the new AFSP-produced Survivor Day documentary entitled Life Journeys: Reclaiming Life after Loss.  The film follows the grief and healing process following a suicide loss. Presentations and group discussions will also be included during the day’s events.

11:45 a.m: Closing Memorial

Anna Kennedy, Executive Director at Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Lancaster County Suicide Prevention Coalition. The Lancaster County Suicide Prevention Coalition is committed to “partnering to create a responsive, compassionate community and to eliminate suicide through education, advocacy and support.”
