This fall, Touchstone Foundation will say farewell to our Programs Manager, Madeline Mitchell, as she prepares to begin a new chapter in her career.
Madeline will be leaving her position with Touchstone Foundation in early October to pursue an opportunity working at the Department of Veteran Affairs. While we will miss having her on our team , we are excited to celebrate everything she has accomplished and the strong foundation she leaves behind for our programs, participants, and community.
Strengthening Programs for Lancaster County Youth
During her time here at Touchstone Foundation, Madeline has played an important role in strengthening how our programs serve children, youth, young adults, families, and future mental health professionals throughout Lancaster County.
One of the most significant areas of her work has been helping lead the continued growth and expansion of Rise Above.
Madeline has helped guide the program through its final stages of rollout into a broader youth mental wellness pathway, creating opportunities to reach middle school students, high school students and young adults at different stages life..
Through collaboration with schools, community-based partners, facilitators, staff, and young people themselves, she has helped build stronger systems around our programming while keeping connection, accessibility, youth voice and wellbeing at the center of the work.

This position provides an opportunity to lead and strengthen programs supporting youth mental wellness, access to mental health resources, and the development of Lancaster County’s future mental health workforce.
As our programs continue to grow within local schools and across the community, the Programs Manager will help turn that growth into a measurable impact. Working collaboratively with Touchstone staff, program assistants, schools, community partners, mental health professionals, facilitators, and participants, this role will oversee multiple moving pieces while ensuring our programs remain organized, responsive, and aligned with their intended outcomes.
We are especially interested in someone who is comfortable leading a team, working with data, and seeing both the details and the bigger picture. The Programs Manager will help track participation and outcomes, identify trends, strengthen program processes, and translate what we are learning into meaningful reporting for staff, partners, funders, and grant requirements.
The role will also provide key leadership for the continued school-based expansion of Rise Above, including oversight of the program’s Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) grant activities, deliverables, data collection, reporting, and coordination of the team members helping carry the program into schools.
