The Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation (LOHF) has approved funding to four Lancaster County community benefit organizations for children’s behavioral health programs:
CASA of Lancaster County: $25,000 for Children’s Behavioral Health Coordinator. Will serve 140 children with expanded behavioral health screenings in collaboration with the Lancaster County Children and Youth Social Service Agency. Grant will provide a behavioral health advocate for youth entering foster care.
COBY’s Family Services: $9,800 for Incredible Years Series Parent Intervention Program. Will serve 8 children and 14 families in Solanco School District to help build strength-based techniques and increase family competency.
Lancaster Public Library: $3,500 for the Autism Resource Center. Will serve 6,000 family members, 2,000 children, and 500 community members to increase family competency with updated materials and resources about Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Samaritan Counseling Center: $20,000 for TeenHope. Will serve 6,000 family members, 1,500 children and 125 community members to expand behavioral health screenings and increase access to behavioral health services.
“Together with these partners, we will improve public health and wellbeing in Lancaster County through programs for children’s behavioral health. We are so excited to partner with these organizations so that an estimated 3,648 adolescents will receive mental and behavioral health services,” said Anna Brendle Kennedy, Executive Director of LOHF.
An additional $41,070 in grant funds will be available for the Fall 2016 Community Grant program. Interested organizations can submit letters of intent online from June 1, 2016 to July 15, 2015.
