Welcome Abby: Operations Manager, Mom and Friend to All Animals

Welcome Abby Swank to the Touchstone Foundation Team!

We’re thrilled to welcome Abby Swank as our new Operations Manager and Accountant at Touchstone Foundation! Abby brings a strong background in operations and finance, along with proven experience leading teams in the mental health field. Over the years, she’s built a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of organizational operations, always keeping collaboration, compassion, and empathy at the heart of her work.

After 13 years serving Lancaster County’s for-profit businesses—many of them in mental health—Abby is excited to transition into the nonprofit sector. For her, joining Touchstone Foundation offers a fresh way to serve the community and support others in meaningful, personal ways.

When asked what drew her to the organization, Abby shared, “The foundation is making such a lasting impact on the community, and I am proud to be a part of the important work they are doing.”

Abby has built her life around caring for others, both professionally and personally. She considers her most profound service to be raising her two children, ages 8 and 1, which has given her new insight into mental health and strengthened her desire to ensure all children and youth grow up supported, nurtured, and recognized for their unique potential.

In her dual role, Abby is eager to bring Touchstone’s operations and financial processes together under one umbrella—streamlining daily work, improving process flow, and supporting the team with greater clarity. She’s excited to dive into the details, learn about the breadth of programs Touchstone offers, and see how her work can help elevate the well-being of children, youth, and mental health providers across Lancaster County.

Beyond her passion for service, Abby is an animal lover who once adopted a rescue dog from the Lancaster Humane League and now shares her home with a spirited Jack Russell. Over the years, she’s cared for an array of pets—including some unusual ones like rodents and lizards! Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, singing, dancing, photography, crafting, and exploring genealogy and world history, uncovering stories that connect the past to present-day mental health.

Abby is also working toward a Project Management certification while continuing to deepen her expertise in financial management and operations.

Please join us in giving Abby a warm welcome as she begins this new chapter with Touchstone Foundation!
