Communications Intern Spotlight: Welcoming Reese Rainar
We’re excited to welcome Reese Rainar to the Touchstone Foundation team! Reese brings a strong interest in communications, storytelling, and public relations, and is passionate about using communication to support meaningful causes—values that align closely with our mission.
A Growing Passion for Communications
Reese is currently a Communications major with a concentration in Public Relations at Millersville University. She discovered her interest in communications during her sophomore year after taking an introductory communications course, where she became interested in communication theories and how different approaches can shape conversations and influence outcomes in unique ways.
That experience helped her realize the important role communication plays in connecting people, sharing stories, and building understanding—skills she is excited to continue developing during her internship.
Supporting a Mission That Matters
Reese shared that she was drawn to intern with Touchstone Foundation because of the organization’s mission and values. She recognizes that there are still many stigmas surrounding mental health, and being part of an organization that prioritizes advocacy, awareness, and support is very meaningful to her.
Through her role, Reese is looking forward to supporting communications efforts that help tell the stories behind Touchstone’s programs and highlight the importance of mental health support for youth and families in our community.
Looking Ahead
During her internship, Reese hopes to gain hands-on experience in public relations, nonprofit communications, and community outreach. She is excited to learn more about how communications can be used to strengthen community programs, increase awareness, and support meaningful initiatives.
We are grateful to have Reese join our team and look forward to the creativity, energy, and perspective she brings to our work.
Beyond the Internship
Outside of her professional interests, Reese enjoys going to concerts with friends and trying new foods. She also hopes to travel and explore different parts of the world in the future, whether for work or for fun, and is always excited to experience new places and cultures.
Join us in welcoming Reese to the Touchstone Foundation team — we’re excited to have her as part of our mission and look forward to the work we will accomplish together.
