At Touchstone Foundation, we mourn the loss of our dear friend and board member, Bill Zee. His dedication to mental health, especially in supporting the youth of Lancaster County, left a lasting legacy. As a passionate advocate for trauma-informed care, Bill worked closely with us to guide schools, legal professionals, and school boards toward understanding and addressing the mental health challenges faced by vulnerable children.
Bill’s leadership extended beyond our boardroom. Together, we co-developed trauma training sessions that equipped legal professionals, local schools, and school boards toward a better understanding of trauma’s impact on youth development. Most notably, Bill was instrumental in advancing our partnership with the Attachment and Trauma Network (ATN), overseeing the beta testing of a new course on trauma, a project that was very close to his heart.
In his work as an attorney, Bill championed the needs of children, advocating for policies and practices that made a meaningful difference in the lives of families and youth. His tireless efforts will continue to inspire Touchstone Foundation’s mission as we move forward with initiatives in his honor, including a film premiere that will now serve as a tribute to his legacy.
We are holding space for Bill’s memory and will continue his work with the same dedication and compassion he demonstrated throughout his life. His passion for mental health advocacy will live on through Touchstone Foundation’s ongoing efforts to elevate the well-being of children and youth in Lancaster County.
