Touchstone Foundation’s mission is to elevate the mental well-being of youth and children in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Our work focuses on building the mental health workforce, increasing access to mental health services, and raising awareness about the importance of mental health care.
We provide programs, scholarships, and training for students and recent graduates. We support youth and families by helping to make therapy and counseling more accessible and affordable. We advocate for health equity and policy change to improve the mental well-being of youth, families, and providers in Lancaster County.

Position
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Programs Manager oversees and strengthens our programs to raise awareness about youth mental wellness, increase access to mental health care, and help students and recent graduates pursue careers in mental health. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, ability to take initiative, and express integrity. Experience with other community benefit organizations is a plus.
The Programs Manager supervises a part-time Programs Assistant, occasionally supervises interns, and works closely with the Executive Director, Operations Manager, and Communications Manager at the organization to manage our six current programs serving students, families, and mental health professionals in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
This is an in-person position with one remote day per week, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania 17602. Remote work policy is an earned benefit assessed every six months on positive performance. Our office is open from 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
· Manage programs database to support families and young people in accessing mental health care services.
· Manage all current Foundation programs, including Mental Health Access Assistance, Rise Above Youth Summit, Mental Health Careers Scholarships, Mental Health Clinical Fellowship, A Moment to Breathe, and Helping the Helpers.
· Ensure Foundation programs are executed and communicated with diverse audiences, meeting goals, and identifying opportunities for growth and change over time based on tracked results.
· Measure and track program goals, outcomes, participant feedback, surveys, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) data.
· Determine if and how which programs will grow and in what capacity.
· Assist families and young people in accessing health insurance, including applying for and checking eligibility for Medicaid when applicable.
· Facilitate and/or manage partner facilitation for programs such as A Moment to Breathe, Rise Above Youth Summit, Helping the Helpers, and other program facilitation as needed. This may include leading conversations about mental health and wellness, group therapy sessions, and continuing education credit training.
· Manage three program committees of volunteers to guide the implementation and strategic direction of the Foundation’s programs.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local mental health organizations, and advocacy groups across Pennsylvania.
· Participate in regular local coalition and collaborative efforts to complete projects and various initiatives within Lancaster County and throughout the state as needed.
· Maintain mental health resources content to ensure accurate resources are shared.
· Write content for online audiences, including blogs, webpage content, and social media.
· Manage and maintain the programs budget and maintain relationships with all program-related vendors and partners.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3-5 years’ experience in nonprofit, community benefit organization, public health, psychology, business, or macro-level social work preferred.
· Relevant and transferable skills in nonprofit management, macro-level social work, psychology, public health, business or related field.
· Strong project management and analytical skills, including scopes of work, creating, and managing project plans.
· Technology management experience, including software systems integration and database management.
· Ability to effectively manage and prioritize competing demands.
· Holds self and others accountable for results.
· Takes responsibility and initiates projects with an open mind for constructive feedback and learning.
· Key attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills.
· Team-oriented to support staff and volunteers, actively collaborating on program management, external communications, and fundraising tasks alongside the staff team.
· Ability to constructively address and resolve conflict.
· Spanish fluency welcome.
· Curiosity and sense of humor.
· The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and open to new ideas.
Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with education, qualifications, and experience.
· Working hours: 40 hours per week exempt salary position with flexible but consistent hours.
· This is an in-person position based in Lancaster, PA with the option to work remotely one day per week.
· Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000 depending on education, experience, and qualifications.
· Some required mornings, evenings, and weekends to attend events, Board of Directors, and committee meetings. Advance notice will be given.
· Health insurance coverage provided through an individual coverage health reimbursement arrangement (ICHRA).
· Paid parking space.
· Eleven paid holidays and 10 days’ vacation, which must be taken within the year they are accrued. Vacation days accrue at the rate of 1.25 days per month.
